How the volume pricing works
Man and van is priced by how much of the van your waste fills, usually in fractions such as a quarter, half, three-quarter or full load. You are quoted against the space taken, so a few bulky items cost less than a van packed to the roof. The crew assesses the load on site and confirms the fraction before it goes in, so the price is settled before the work rather than after.
That volume basis is what makes it competitive for small clearances. For a large or ongoing amount of waste the per-cubic-yard cost of a skip usually wins, and we will tell you when that crossover point is reached rather than sell you van loads.

The honest split is labour against volume. Man and van removes the waste and does the lifting in one visit, which is worth paying for on an upstairs flat clearance, a job with heavy or awkward items, or where there is nowhere to put a skip. A skip is cheaper for the volume when you are happy to load it yourself over a few days.

What happens to the waste
The crew takes the load to a licensed transfer station, where as much as possible is sorted for recycling rather than sent straight to landfill. You are issued a waste transfer note for the collection, which is your record that it was handled by a licensed carrier and that your duty of care as the person who produced the waste is covered.
