What the price covers

Delivery, collection and disposal

One price covers dropping the skip off, collecting it when you are done, and processing everything in it at a licensed facility.

The permit is separate

A council permit is only needed when the skip sits on a public road rather than a driveway. It is set by the council, not by us, and is quoted on top.

Prices exclude VAT

Every figure on this page is shown before VAT. Your written quote confirms the final cost including VAT and any permit before you commit.

For what actually drives the price up or down, including weight limits, overloading and worked examples for common jobs, read our guide to how much skip hire costs.

Straight answer

Why we price by postcode area

Disposal is the biggest single cost in a skip, and gate fees at transfer stations and landfill are set locally rather than nationally. That is why the same 8 yard skip is not the same price everywhere, and why we quote against your postcode rather than publishing one national rate. Put your postcode in above and you will see the starting price for each size where you are, then we confirm the exact figure in writing before you commit.

About the data

Questions about these prices

Why do skip hire prices vary between postcode areas?

Disposal costs are the biggest driver, and they differ by region because landfill and transfer-station gate fees are set locally. Distance from the depot to your address and how tightly an area is served also move the price, which is why the same 8 yard skip is not the same price in every postcode.

Is the price the same for every postcode in an area?

The figures here are set at postcode-area level, so every postcode starting with the same letters sees the same starting price. Access, distance and how the skip is loaded can still change the final quote, which is why these are starting prices rather than a fixed rate.

How often are these prices reviewed?

The price sheet is reviewed against supplier rates periodically and reissued when disposal costs move, which is usually once or twice a year. The quote you are given at booking is the price that holds, even if the sheet changes afterwards.

What if my postcode area is not listed?

It means we do not have a published rate for that area yet rather than that we cannot help. Send us the postcode with the size you need and we will price it directly.
